One of my favorite books, Jumper is being turned into a movie.
I don't know whether it's any good, but the trailer looks like it's been turned into a big action movie extravaganza.

Hey JP... Did you ever read Fade by Robert Cormier? Sounds a lot like this but the kid could turn invisible instead of teleport. I think it's mostly a young adult novel (though with some sexual themes as well, nothing erotic) but I enjoyed it when I read it in grad school.
